We were approached by our client to help transforming and combining a 4 bedroom house with 2 bedroom house together which they have just bought into a cosy home for their family of 5. Our designer wanted to leverage on the high ceiling to create an illusion of space and chose to further accentuate it with the white walls, glass-panelled ceiling and modern lighting features. Feature walls and built-in cabinets were customised to allow for sufficient storage space, but were kept raised to further create an illusion of space and lightness.
In the dining area, a long oak wood dining table was built as a centerpiece as the family spends a lot of their time together at the communal table. This enticing setting worked well both for the family as well as when they had guests to entertain.
The children’s room were accessorised with matching wallpaper to add a touch of coziness and hole in the wall shelves were built to add functionality and encourage bedtime reading for the kids.
